Derek is an American multimedia artist residing in Champaign, IL with his wife and two kitties. The basis of his work comes from his personal ritual of watching at least one movie every day, a habit that started very young for Derek. Hook (1991) is Derek's all time favorite movie.

Derek is NOT, nor is he related to, the Derek Wayne Clem from Independence, Kansas. They just happen to share the same name. He plans to make work on this matter in the future.
